We are immensely proud to launch our collaboration with Sitting Suits and the warm-hearted people behind the company.

Ib Antoni created images that lived in public space. His posters, advertisements and illustrations travelled through cities, newspapers and magazines, helping to shape how Denmark was seen both at home and abroad.

Antoni’s visual language is remarkably clear and immediate: a few confident lines, bold colours and a strong visual identity. The same qualities that carried his advertising work out into the world now lend themselves naturally to textile prints.

These works were never intended to hang quietly in galleries or be tucked away in archives. They were created to catch the eye, communicate and meet people in their everyday lives.

With this collaboration, they are brought back to where they belong: out among people and into the streets.

In 1968, Ib Antoni was commissioned to create the official poster for Tivoli’s 125th anniversary. Many artists before and after him have chosen to focus on the park’s rides and amusements. Ib Antoni, however, took an entirely different approach, clearly inspired by his own feelings for Tivoli.

He chose to focus on the birds and the lamps, highlighting the magical atmosphere created by Tivoli’s lights – a perfect setting for people in love.

The Danish mermaid atop the Greek column was created to mark the wedding of Princess Anne-Marie of Denmark and King Constantine of Greece in 1964.

Sakura on Mount Fuji is a beautiful illustration from the book Merry Cherry, created in 1968 to mark Cherry Heering’s 150th anniversary.
