The Association of Danish Furniture Industries

Ib Antoni had many exciting collaborations with customers from all over the world, including The Association of Danish Furniture Industries, established in 1933. Today is is know as The Wood & Furniture Industry, an organization under Danish Industry. The purpose of the trade association is to safeguard the business interests of the Danish furniture industry at home and abroad.

Ib Antoni’s task was to create a series of posters that could be used to export the beautiful Danish furniture. With support from the Danish Business Fund, 10,000 of each of the 7 posters were printed in Danish English and Dutch and they were presented at the museum today known as Designmuseum Danmark. The posters were the last task Ib Antoni completed before his death and they were presented on December 11, 1973, post mortem.

As Antoni Legacy is constantly working on cleaning Ib Antoni’s beautiful original drawings, one can never know when a new illustration from Antoni’s hand will see the light of day. But when the illustration is ready for reproduction, it is added to the collection on this page, both under Products, Illustrations and the client for which the illustration is designed. If you have a special interest in, or further knowledge about an Antoni-illustration or an Antoni-customer, you are more than welcome to contact us.
