The Oatmeal Elephant
Illustration 127
In 1957 Ib Antoni made this lovely illustration as a part of a larger series featuring the popular Davre Kids for FDB (translated: The Joint Society of Denmark’s Co-operative Societies).
The playing Davre Kids and the sweet elephant are out in the field to gather oats, so they can make Davre Oatmeal. As a part of the campaign, the playing rhyme was used: “Avra for Laura – Nu skal vi ha’ Davre”. Here with a direct approach: “Become healthy and strong, eat Davre”.
