Ib Antoni had many exciting collaborations with customers from all over the world, including AIDA (The International Association of the Distribution of Food Products), the important international food congress and exhibition, which in 1965 was invited to Copenhagen by the director of the Agricultural Sales Committee, Erik Stockmann, by agreement with the government and Danish Agriculture.
Since 1950, AIDA had held this congress every three years and brought together specialists from all corners of the food industry to bring food production and distribution to a higher level in terms of consumer needs and technical advances. The event in 1966 was the 6th AIDA Congress and the largest international congress ever held in Denmark. Participants flocked from 40 different countries to Copenhagen’s newest and most modern congress building, the Bella Center. In fact, 200,000 brochures and 15,000 posters were made, in English, Swedish, German, French and Danish, and were sent all over the world to promote the congress – and who created the illustrations? Ib Antoni, of course!
As Antoni Legacy is constantly working on cleaning Ib Antoni’s beautiful original drawings, one can never know when a new illustration from Antoni’s hand will see the light of day. But when the illustration is ready for reproduction, it is added to the collection on this page, both under Products, Motifs and the client for which the motif was designed. If you have a special interest in, or further knowledge of the illustration or the customer, you are more than welcome to contact us.
