The Queen in Paris
Illustration 104
This beautiful illustration was chosen, out of a vast number of amazing sketches, as the final choice for the poster made for The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Denmark in the occasion of King Frederik IX and Queen Ingrid’s visit with the French president Charles de Gaulle in Paris in 1965.
The elegant woman, maybe Queen Ingrid, is wearing a very chic Eiffel-tower hat, wrapped up in the Danish flag, Dannebrog – and of course with a Danish viking in the top.
This illustration was made in 1965 for The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Denmark.
