The Royal Ballet in Denmark

Ib Antoni had many exciting collaborations with clients from all over the world – such as The Royal Ballet i Denmark.

When the Royal Theater was founded in 1748, the Royal Ballet, one of the oldest ballet companies in the world, was also founded. In 1771, Court Dance Master Pierre Laurent from France and Ballet Master Vincenzo Galeotti from Italy founded the Ballet School – and later August Bournonville founded the ballet company’s Bournonville tradition.

Therefore, in 1971, the Royal Ballet Ballet School was able to celebrate its 200th anniversary and in this connection, this special version of Antoni’s wonderful Ballet Dancer was launched.

As Antoni Legacy is constantly working on cleaning Ib Antoni’s beautiful original drawings, one can never know when a new illustration from Antoni’s hand will see the light of day. But when the illustration is ready for reproduction, it is added to the collection on this page, both under Products, Illustrations and the client for which the illustration is designed.
