Volvo Snabbe

Illustration 083

This lovely illustration is a part of a series drawn in 1959 for the Swedish manufacturer of cars and trucks, Volvo.

Volvo’s L420 model, the truck with a V8 engine, that was commonly known as snabbe, as it was very fast (snab means fast in Swedish), was in production from 1956-1975.

Here the driver has been hired to do an untraditional task – the freight of a whale. Apparently, a Volvo Snabbe can manage all tasks at hand!

This illustration was made in 1959 for Volvo.
