This lovely illustration was made in 1966 for the American department store, Macy’s, in the occasion of their Scandinavian Festival celebrated from October 23 until November 12.
Macy’s was founded in New York in 1898 and is now the biggest department store in the United States of America, with over 700 departments spread out across the continent.
The Scandinavian viking has dropped his helmet and has put on headgear with the Scandinavian flags as feathers instead.
