The Design Huntress
Illustration 176
The elegant Design Huntress of Ib Antoni is, of course, on the hunt for Danish Design with her sweet little dog alongside her.
This illustration is from the late 1940s/early 1950s and is originally from a newspaper add inserted by the fashion designer (and shop) Jac. Olsen, that had an exclusive fashion store on the corner of Strøget and Niels Hemmingsens Street in Copenhagen.
The store was founded in 1884 and closed in 1972. Jac. Olsen’s name was originally Jack, but he changed his name to Jac. after the French fashion designer Jacques Fath.
This illustration was made for Jac. Olsen.
