School Children in Traffic (Danish)
Illustration 071
This wonderful illustration was made in 1955 for Rådet For Større Færdselssikkerhed (translated: The Council for greater Road Safety).
The schoolchildren are about to learn everything there is to know about the traffic – especially how to look both left and right before they cross the road.
The nice policeman is directing the children with a big smile on his lips. The illustration was originally designed to be placed on a lamp post (when you bend it, the two ends meet).
The text goes; “Man har ikke set sig for – før man har set sig tilbage” (translates to something like: You haven´t paid attention – until you have looked back).
