This sweet illustration was made, most likely in the late 1950s, for the British/Dutch oil giant, Shell.

The happy car owner has just had his car refilled with the smart anti-freeze, that freezeproffs the engine through the winter with only óne filling.

It is like wrapping your engine in the scarf of the inuit, that on this illustration is getting a ride on the top of the car.

The text goes; “Deres motor er frostsikret hele vinteren ved een påfyldning med Shell Anti-Frost”. (translated; Your engine is frost-proof all winter long with one refill with Shell Anti-Frost).
